Welcome to AVA364.2

I've thoroughly enjoyed my year creating AVA364 - "Ava every day minus one" for my 2006 new year's resolution. I can honestly say that it might be the first resolution that I actually kept.

What a perfect year to start a project like this. Ava went from a less than 3-month old, cute, cuddly, colicky, newborn to an AMAZING, beautiful (inside & out), loving, funny, and super-smart, almost 15-month old toddler. It's made me SO happy to share a snippet of Ava's life with everyone each day. I love going back through the months, watching her grow and compare similar photos over the year. And, I'm glad you've all enjoyed it too.

Thanks for sharing your comments! I get so excited seeing new comments and know that something about the photo or Ava really caught you in that moment. Please keep the comments coming as we enter AVA364.2.

The format will be changing some for 2007. First, the square 5" x 5" format is being replaced by a 5" x 7" format. The photos are also saved in a larger format this year, so feel free to click on the image to view it at a larger size. The strong white border is gone, with a light black border in its place. I rarely commented on the photos and never titled them – that will be changing some. If I feel the need, I will offer up titles or comments. I might even ask for title ideas from you. Also, instead of focusing on only MY photos, I will use anyone’s photo of Ava for the day. This gives me a chance to use many of the GREAT photos Kevin takes or any that friends and family might take. There have been many times that I have enjoyed someone else’s view of Ava for the day, and except for one photo in AVA364, I didn’t use them because it was my photo project. Lastly, I’ve gone with a minimal, white, gallery-feeling background this year. The main “rule” that stays the same as before is that the photo will be a photo of Ava that day.

I’ve been putting off updating the last of AVA364. I’ve been debating on weather or not I really did want to change the look and feel for 2007, and it seemed kind of sad that the original project was coming to an end. I hope you keep enjoying checking up on Ava’s life from time to time on the new AVA364.2. Oh, and just in case you were wondering, Jan. 10th is missing for last year – no photos were taken of Ava that day. We’ll just have to wait and see what day is missing this year. Happy New Year Everyone!!
